NOTE ABOUT POSTS: I am currently working on a new Volume of my fun research about tools and techniques of climbing, and planning to complete Volume 2 which will include developments into the 1950s, by June of this year. I will also be doing some edits to Volume 1, with hopefully a new foreword from David Smart.

I will try to keep also posting here on bigwallgear.com, but the emails will likely be screenshots of text and images laid out in a two-column Pages document, rather than google-searchable information. Substack is an easy way to write and edit, but as I already have most of Volume 2 written and posted (index here), it is easier to write the last bits directly into the final PDF.

Plans are to offer the PDF for readers, as the digital PDF is the simplest way to search (I will probably not be doing a paper index for this work as there are too many thousands of little tidbits that would need to be included). I will also arrange a way to get color-printed copies, hopefully direct from a print-on-demand service (looking for one that offers excellent color—pic below of excellent print quality from https://www.bookprintingcompany.com.au)

Australia pages as images below. Thanks for reading!
